Lauren Hansen Named America First Credit Union Utah State Student-Athlete Of The Week

LOGAN, Utah - Freshman forward Lauren Hansen was named America First Credit Union Utah State Student-Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, which is voted on by a state media panel, for the period ending on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Hansen (Camano Island, Wash.) recorded a season-high three goals, all in the first half, in Utah State's 10-1 home win against Louisiana Tech on Saturday. With her three goals, Hansen tied the school record for most goals in a single-match, joining four other players.

Hansen leads Utah State and is tied for fifth in the WAC with nine goals. With 18 points, Hansen leads the Aggies and ranks sixth in the league. Hansen is tied for 10th in career goals with Chanel Weddle (2002-05) and is fifth for goals in a season. She is also tied for fifth with Charity Weston (2005) for points in a season and is fourth for points in a match.

FOOTBALL - Senior wide receiver/kick returner Kevin Robinson recorded 259 all-purpose yards, including a 44-yard touchdown reception in Utah State's 38-27 loss at Fresno State on Saturday. Robinson also became USU's career record holder in all-purpose yards during the game, passing Emmett White (1998-2001) who had 5,872 all-purpose yards in his career. Robinson now has 6,058 career all-purpose yards at USU.

VOLLEYBALL - Junior outside hitter Melissa Osterloh (Sandy, Utah) helped Utah State record a 1-1 record last week with a four-game win against Utah and a three-game loss at Utah Valley. She recorded 13 kills, 10 digs and six blocks against Utah and 11 kills and 10 digs against Utah Valley to extend her streak of consecutive double-doubles to five. For the week, she hit .185 and averaged 4.21 points, 3.43 kills, 2.86 digs and 1.14 blocks per game.
