Devin Daniels Leads Aggie Golfers To Fifth-Place Finish At Cal Poly Intercollegiate

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - Devin Daniels shot a two-under 70 in the third and final round of the Cal Poly Men's Intercollegiate here Friday to lead Utah State's men's golf team to a fifth-place finish in the 14-team field with a team score of 900 (298-304-298). Individually, Daniels finished the 54-hole tournament in sixth-place with an even-par 216 after rounds of 72 and 74 on Thursday. Daniels has now been USU's top finisher in five of the seven tournaments the Aggies have competed in this year. Cal Poly won the tournament with a team score of 871, followed by Cal State Northridge (882), British Columbia University (883), Cal State Stanislaus (889) and Utah State. Cal Poly's Brycen Wagner took top individual honors as he carded a three-under 213 (71-71-71). Toph Peterson finished tied for 23rd with a 12-over 228 (77-76-75) for Utah State, while Jeremy Pack tied for 33rd with a 230 (78-75-77) and Tyler Labrum finished tied for 42nd with a 16-over 232 (71-79-82). Tyler Munson and Alex Putnam also competed for USU and finished 80th and tied for 82nd. Utah State will return to action on Monday, April 7 when it travels to Scottsdale, Ariz., to compete in the Wyoming Invitational. Team Results 1. Cal Poly - 294-287-290 (871) 2.
