Aggie Golfers Finish In 13th Place At Braveheart Classic

BEAUMONT, Calif. - Utah State's men's golf team finished in 13th-place at the Braveheart Classic here on Tuesday with a 54-hole total of 944 after finishing the tournament by shooting a 307, its best round during the two-day event. Cal Poly won the 16-team tournament with a score of 900, while UC Riverside's Nick Paez and Spencer Paschall shared top individual honors as both players shot a four-over par 220. Junior Devin Daniels (Hyde Park, Utah) led Utah State as he finished tied for 41st with a 19-over par 235. Daniels began play with an eight-over par 80 before carding scores of 79 and 76. It is the fourth time in six tournaments this year that Daniels has been USU's top finisher. Senior Jeremy Pack (Salt Lake City, Utah) had the best day for Utah State on Tuesday as he shot a three-over par 75 to finish in a tie for 57 with a 22-over par 238. Freshman Toph Peterson (Logan, Utah) tied for 62nd with a score of 239, while freshmen Tyler Labrum (Roosevelt, Utah) and Tyler Munson (Columbia, S.C.) tied for 79th and 83rd with scores of 244 and 245, respectively. Utah State will return to action on March 27-28 when it competes in the Cuesta Vista Intercollegiate in Arroyo Grande, Calif. Team Results 1. Cal Poly - 311-301-288 (900) 2.
