Graduate assistant Eric Sanders is entering his first season at Utah State and will work with the defense and video editing.

Sanders comes to USU from UC Davis, where he was a full-time assistant for the last two seasons after spending the prior two years as a student assistant. After working as video coordinator at his alma mater, Sanders worked with linebackers and defensive line for two seasons and the offensive line and tight ends for one season. In 2005, UC Davis won a share of the Great West Football Conference Championship.

A native of San Francisco, Calif., Sanders was a utility player at Lowell High School. He was born August 2, 1983 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and received his bachelor's degree from UC Davis in psychology with a biological emphasis in December of 2005.

Also in 2005, Sanders traveled to China for coaches clinics with the American Football in China Exchange Association.
